Session Descriptions

Session I
A: Leader Applicant Session: Work-session using Breastfeeding Resource Guide and Preview of Questions Mothers Ask. Bring Womanly Art of Breastfeeding, Leaders Handbook and Breastfeeding Answers Made Simple if you can. Bring your questions about becoming an Applicant and Leader. (Leader Accreditation Department)

B: Hot Topics and Galactagogues in 2016: What is new in the world of breastfeeding? Supporting mothers with good breastfeeding management when cookies and gatorade abound. (Professional Liaison Department)

C: Working, Weaning, Whatever: Can we support a mom when we disagree with her choices? (Communications Skills Department)

Session II
A: Publicity: Getting the word out and getting parents to attend your series meetings. How technology can get more attendance at your meetings (Leader Department)

B: Fundraising Successes: What others have done, what works, what doesn’t and how to reproduce them! (Finance Department)

C: Freshen Up with New Meeting Ideas: Interactive session to share your best (and worst) meeting ideas. (Leader Department)

General Session
From Words to Action. Breastfeeding Support for ALLL: We live in diverse communities but often the parents seeking support from La Leche League are not as diverse as our communities. Let’s roll up our sleeves and explore opportunities to improve our quest to meet the La Leche League mission and vision of inclusiveness within our respective communities.
